Project Concept

Through stories, characters, and symbols, we can reveal meaning from multiple angles, helping the music reach deeper into the heart.

This project is a visual-narrative development for the musical group Bad Omens. Its central element is the original character, The Puppet.

Main Character

The Puppet

The Fallen Puppet is a creature who shattered the system and escaped his ruler — the Giant. Having torn the threads with his own hands, the Puppet gained freedom. This act of defiance cracked his halo — a symbol of absolute obedience. His hand that freed him is missing a joint, a further symbol of it being sustained by the power of intent.

Symbols

The Giant

The Giant is the Ruler who governs your strings, the Puppet Master pulling the threads of your existence.

The Stingray

and the Spider

The Spider weaves his web of eyes, watching your every move for The Giant. The Stingray is an enforcer whose violence propels the system’s flow. One sees the dissent, the other eliminates it.

Specter

The Specter’s cloth is a metaphor for the power of intent, a fence against outer influence. It won’t save you on its own – only your choice will: to refuse fear, discard the past, and pretend to be nothing, rendering you untouchable to The Giant.

Flower

A Flower is a symbol of a new self. It is the station where things end and others are reborn.

Cover art

Become the Specter.

Let all that suffocates you pass straight through. Meet the pressure with absence — let every demon and dread scatter into the void, utterly powerless.

The album’s design employs semi-transparent vellum as its primary material. This evokes the texture of a specter’s shroud, alluding to a protective membrane that shields us.
